What Your Singer Will Experience:
Growing Strong Voices
Students are taught how to use their voice in a healthy, consistent way—developing tone, pitch, control, and overall musicianship over time. With regular guidance, they begin to understand how their voice works and how to perform with confidence.
Friendship through Song
Music brings singers together in a way words cannot, creating meaningful friendships through the experience of learning, listening, and quality performances.
Finding Their Voice
As girls learn to use their voice in music, they also learn how to express themselves clearly and with intention. Over time, that carries beyond choir—shaping how they communicate, participate, and move through the world.

Meet the Artistic Director, Alicia Lyons
Alicia Lyons is choral director and Artistic Director of the Girls Choir of Springfield, serving young singers across Southwest Missouri. Her ensembles consistently earn top ratings at state and national festivals, reflecting a strong commitment to musical excellence and student growth. She is dedicated to helping girls in grades 3–12 develop vocal technique, musicianship, and confidence through thoughtful instruction and meaningful performance opportunities. In a supportive and structured environment, Alicia helps each singer grow her voice, build friendships, and develop as both a musician and a leader.
